Central New York Raceway Park (CNYRP) is pleased to announce the approval of $1 million state grant from NYS Governor Andrew Cuomo. The $1 Million dollars is part of the $2 million grant promised to the project in the second round of the regional economic development council. The funding will be used for a portion of the pre-development costs associated with the project, including design and engineering. Phase 1 of CNYRP is estimated to cost 50 million dollars to complete. CNYRP will consist of a 2.2 mile road course, a half mile synthetic dirt oval, 5 story command center with a 300 seat restuarant, and a 56 bay NASCAR style garage. The project is still in the permitting phase and is awaiting approval from municipal and state authorities to begin construction.
